# Spill vs ApproachVIP

The clearest difference is rating: ApproachVIP at 5.0 against Spill's 4.6. ApproachVIP also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Spill's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 1) and device support. On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ApproachVIP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spill has 1.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
