# Spill vs fig zine

The clearest difference is monetization model: Spill at ad-supported against fig zine's subscription. Spill also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). fig zine's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
