# Show Up vs ViewGems

The clearest difference is ads: ViewGems at none against Show Up's shown. ViewGems also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Show Up's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 10 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Show Up against 5.0 for ViewGems. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 4 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Show Up ships an update every 2 weeks, ViewGems every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
