# Direct vs Aiden

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Aiden at 67% against Direct's 0%. Aiden also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (18 vs 1). Direct's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Direct costs $1.99 and Aiden $1.99 up front. Aiden sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Direct asks for nothing beyond the download.

Direct holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aiden has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Direct's written reviews are positive against 67% of Aiden's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Direct ships an update every 3 months, Aiden every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 6, 2026.
