# Ski Tree vs Blue Saucer

The clearest difference is monetization model: Ski Tree at free against Blue Saucer's paid. Ski Tree also leads on ratings volume (50 vs 10). Blue Saucer's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 90%) and device support (5 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Ski Tree against 4.9 for Blue Saucer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ski Tree has 50 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of Ski Tree's written reviews are positive against 100% of Blue Saucer's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
