# Primal vs ThinkPulse

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Primal at 928 against ThinkPulse's 2. ThinkPulse's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Primal sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and ThinkPulse sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Primal against 5.0 for ThinkPulse. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Primal has 928 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Primal ships an update every 2 weeks, ThinkPulse every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
