# Ben's VPN vs VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: VPN at free with in-app purchases against Ben's VPN's subscription. Ben's VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (78% vs 50%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ben's VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Ben's VPN against 4.4 for VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ben's VPN has 138 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of Ben's VPN's written reviews are positive against 50% of VPN's.

Ben's VPN ships an update every 2 months, VPN monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
