# Looga vs MapGame!

The clearest difference is ads: Looga at none against MapGame!'s shown. Looga also leads on review sentiment (94% vs 78%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). MapGame!'s advantage is ratings volume (418 vs 9) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Looga sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and MapGame! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MapGame! holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MapGame! has 418 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of Looga's written reviews are positive against 78% of MapGame!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Looga ships an update fortnightly, MapGame! monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
