# Scientific Calculator fx vs StudyZone

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Scientific Calculator fx at 440 against StudyZone's 3. StudyZone's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scientific Calculator fx sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and StudyZone sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Scientific Calculator fx against 4.7 for StudyZone. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scientific Calculator fx has 440 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Scientific Calculator fx's written reviews are positive against 100% of StudyZone's.

Scientific Calculator fx ships an update every 2 weeks, StudyZone every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
