# Timize vs Calculator AppLock

The clearest difference is monetization model: Timize at free with in-app purchases against Calculator AppLock's subscription. Timize also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 71%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Calculator AppLock's advantage is ratings volume (595 vs 10). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timize sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Calculator AppLock sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timize holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator AppLock has 595 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Timize's written reviews are positive against 71% of Calculator AppLock's.

Timize ships an update every 3 weeks, Calculator AppLock every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
