# AI Chat vs Mati

The clearest difference is ads: Mati at none against AI Chat's shown. Mati also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). AI Chat's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Chat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Mati sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mati holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Chat has 1.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AI Chat ships an update every 4 months, Mati every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
