# Evernote vs HanDBase Database Manager

The clearest difference is price: Evernote at Free against HanDBase Database Manager's $9.99. Evernote also leads on rating (4.4 vs 3.8) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). HanDBase Database Manager's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 50%). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Evernote is free to download; HanDBase Database Manager costs $9.99 up front. Evernote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $13.95 per month and HanDBase Database Manager sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Evernote holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evernote has 78K ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Evernote's written reviews are positive against 60% of HanDBase Database Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Evernote ships an update weekly, HanDBase Database Manager every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
