# PayPal vs Raris

The clearest difference is ads: Raris at none against PayPal's shown. Raris also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). PayPal's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (6.3M vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Raris holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PayPal has 6.3M ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PayPal ships an update weekly, Raris every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
