# Currency vs My Trip Assistant

The clearest difference is rating: Currency at 4.8 against My Trip Assistant's 4.0. Currency also leads on ratings volume (79K vs 1) and chart position (#97 vs unranked). My Trip Assistant's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Currency sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. My Trip Assistant asks for nothing beyond the download.

Currency holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Currency has 79K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Currency's written reviews are positive against 100% of My Trip Assistant's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Currency ships an update every 5 weeks, My Trip Assistant every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
