# Currency vs Unit Converter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Currency at every 5 weeks against Unit Converter's every 3 months. Currency also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Currency sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and Unit Converter sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Currency against 4.8 for Unit Converter. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 79K and 199K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Currency's written reviews are positive against 76% of Unit Converter's.

Currency ships an update every 5 weeks, Unit Converter every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
