# SplashID Safe Password Manager vs Password Manager

The clearest difference is rating: Password Manager at 4.1 against SplashID Safe Password Manager's 3.4. SplashID Safe Password Manager's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 9%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SplashID Safe Password Manager sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year and Password Manager sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Password Manager holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1K and 320 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of SplashID Safe Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 9% of Password Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SplashID Safe Password Manager ships an update every 2 months, Password Manager every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
