# Advent vs Malic's Legacy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Advent at none against Malic's Legacy's 7. Advent also leads on review sentiment (47% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.1). Malic's Legacy's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and rating (4.0 vs 3.6). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Malic's Legacy sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Advent asks for nothing beyond the download.

Malic's Legacy holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Advent's written reviews are positive against 33% of Malic's Legacy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Advent ships an update every 3 months, Malic's Legacy weekly. Both last shipped on October 9, 2026.
