# Units vs Converter

The clearest difference is rating: Converter at 4.9 against Units's 3.6. Converter also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). Units's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.5 vs 15.6). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Units sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Converter asks for nothing beyond the download.

Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Converter has 980 ratings behind it against 161, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Units's written reviews are positive against 94% of Converter's.

Units ships an update monthly, Converter every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
