# Units vs Temperature Converter

The clearest difference is rating: Temperature Converter at 4.8 against Units's 3.6. Temperature Converter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (91% vs 60%). Units's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (13.5 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Units sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Temperature Converter sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Temperature Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Temperature Converter has 6.3K ratings behind it against 161, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Units's written reviews are positive against 91% of Temperature Converter's.

Units ships an update monthly, Temperature Converter every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
