# PCalc vs Calculator₊

The clearest difference is price: Calculator₊ at Free against PCalc's $9.99. Calculator₊ also leads on ratings volume (1.7M vs 777) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). PCalc's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (83% vs 63%). On rating, in-app purchases, monetization model and chart position there is nothing between them.

Calculator₊ is free to download; PCalc costs $9.99 up front. PCalc sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Calculator₊ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for PCalc against 4.7 for Calculator₊. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator₊ has 1.7M ratings behind it against 777, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of PCalc's written reviews are positive against 63% of Calculator₊'s.

PCalc ships an update every 6 weeks, Calculator₊ every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
