# Google vs Reverse Image Search +

Google and Reverse Image Search + both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 59% of Google's written reviews are positive against 19% of Reverse Image Search +'s. Google also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (5.1M vs 549). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Google sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $0.89 per month and Reverse Image Search + sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Google holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google has 5.1M ratings behind it against 549, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Google's written reviews are positive against 19% of Reverse Image Search +'s.

Google ships an update every 5 days, Reverse Image Search + every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
