# Google vs Kiren by F

The clearest difference is monetization model: Google at free with in-app purchases against Kiren by F's subscription. Google also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (5.3M vs 107K). Kiren by F's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Google sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $0.89 per month and Kiren by F sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Google against 4.6 for Kiren by F. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google has 5.3M ratings behind it against 107K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of Google's written reviews are positive against 57% of Kiren by F's.

Google ships an update every 6 days, Kiren by F every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
