# Tripadvisor vs FLEXHOTEL

The clearest difference is ads: FLEXHOTEL at none against Tripadvisor's shown. FLEXHOTEL also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 78%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Tripadvisor's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tripadvisor holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tripadvisor has 482K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Tripadvisor's written reviews are positive against 100% of FLEXHOTEL's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tripadvisor ships an update weekly, FLEXHOTEL every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
