# Universalis vs Daily Scripture

The clearest difference is price: Daily Scripture at Free against Universalis's $9.99. Daily Scripture also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Universalis's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (9.4K vs 42). On rating, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Daily Scripture is free to download; Universalis costs $9.99 up front. Universalis sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Daily Scripture asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Universalis against 4.8 for Daily Scripture. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Universalis has 9.4K ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 95% of Universalis's written reviews are positive against 100% of Daily Scripture's.
