# Catholic Calendar vs Ora Devotion

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Catholic Calendar at 978 against Ora Devotion's 3. Ora Devotion's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Catholic Calendar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Ora Devotion sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ora Devotion holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Catholic Calendar has 978 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Catholic Calendar's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ora Devotion's.

Catholic Calendar ships an update every 3 weeks, Ora Devotion every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
