# More Cowbell! vs Timeline

The clearest difference is rating: Timeline at 4.5 against More Cowbell!'s 2.9. Timeline also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 35). More Cowbell!'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timeline sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. More Cowbell! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timeline holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timeline has 1.2K ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 65% and 66% positive.
