# QuickTip™ Tip Calculator vs Simple Tip Pool

The clearest difference is rating: Simple Tip Pool at 5.0 against QuickTip™ Tip Calculator's 4.0. Simple Tip Pool also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). QuickTip™ Tip Calculator's advantage is ratings volume (64 vs 7) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickTip™ Tip Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Simple Tip Pool asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simple Tip Pool holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QuickTip™ Tip Calculator has 64 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 74% and 75% positive.

QuickTip™ Tip Calculator ships an update every 3 months, Simple Tip Pool every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 10, 2026 respectively.
