# QuickTip™ Tip Calculator vs Waiter Pal

The clearest difference is rating: Waiter Pal at 4.9 against QuickTip™ Tip Calculator's 4.0. Waiter Pal also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (788 vs 64). QuickTip™ Tip Calculator's advantage is review sentiment (74% vs 64%) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickTip™ Tip Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Waiter Pal sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Waiter Pal holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waiter Pal has 788 ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of QuickTip™ Tip Calculator's written reviews are positive against 64% of Waiter Pal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QuickTip™ Tip Calculator ships an update every 3 months, Waiter Pal every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
