# QuickTip™ Tip Calculator vs Tip Calculator

The clearest difference is rating: Tip Calculator at 4.7 against QuickTip™ Tip Calculator's 4.0. Tip Calculator also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 64). QuickTip™ Tip Calculator's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (74% vs 51%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickTip™ Tip Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tip Calculator sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tip Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tip Calculator has 12K ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of QuickTip™ Tip Calculator's written reviews are positive against 51% of Tip Calculator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QuickTip™ Tip Calculator ships an update every 3 months, Tip Calculator every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
