# Converter (unit conversions) vs Conversion Calculator

Converter (unit conversions) and Conversion Calculator both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Conversion Calculator's written reviews are positive against 56% of Converter (unit conversions)'s. Converter (unit conversions)'s advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 157) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Converter (unit conversions) sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per year and Conversion Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Converter (unit conversions) against 4.8 for Conversion Calculator. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Converter (unit conversions) has 2K ratings behind it against 157, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Converter (unit conversions)'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Conversion Calculator's.

Converter (unit conversions) ships an update every 3 weeks, Conversion Calculator every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
