# Mantis Bible Study vs TSK Bible Commentary

The clearest difference is ads: Mantis Bible Study at none against TSK Bible Commentary's shown. Mantis Bible Study also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (299 vs 3). TSK Bible Commentary's advantage is rating (3.3 vs 3.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mantis Bible Study sells 20 one-off in-app purchases and TSK Bible Commentary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TSK Bible Commentary holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mantis Bible Study has 299 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Mantis Bible Study's written reviews are positive against 50% of TSK Bible Commentary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mantis Bible Study ships an update every 2 days, TSK Bible Commentary every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
