# Timer vs Five Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Timer at 4.8 against Five Timer's 4.4. Timer also leads on ratings volume (218 vs 34). Five Timer's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months) and price ($1.99 vs $3.99). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Timer costs $3.99 and Five Timer $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
