# Kineo vs AnimCreate

The clearest difference is rating: Kineo at 4.5 against AnimCreate's 3.3. Kineo also leads on ratings volume (56 vs 7). AnimCreate's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (60% vs 44%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kineo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AnimCreate sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kineo holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kineo has 56 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Kineo's written reviews are positive against 60% of AnimCreate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kineo ships an update every 2 months, AnimCreate fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
