# Keeper Password Manager vs Proton Pass

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Keeper Password Manager at 232K against Proton Pass's 8.9K. Keeper Password Manager also leads on chart position (#19 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Keeper Password Manager sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per year and Proton Pass sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $35.90 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Keeper Password Manager against 4.8 for Proton Pass. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Keeper Password Manager has 232K ratings behind it against 8.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two.
