# TimeScroller vs Brex

TimeScroller and Brex both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 96% of TimeScroller's written reviews are positive against 44% of Brex's. TimeScroller also leads on chart position (#52 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.4). Brex's advantage is price (Free vs $1.99) and update cadence (weekly vs every 11 months). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Brex is free to download; TimeScroller costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TimeScroller against 4.8 for Brex. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brex has 8.8K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of TimeScroller's written reviews are positive against 44% of Brex's.

TimeScroller ships an update every 11 months, Brex weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
