# iTranslate Translator vs Camera

The clearest difference is rating: iTranslate Translator at 4.7 against Camera's 4.3. iTranslate Translator also leads on ratings volume (531K vs 6) and chart position (#29 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTranslate Translator sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Camera sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iTranslate Translator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iTranslate Translator has 531K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

iTranslate Translator ships an update weekly, Camera every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
