# AeroWeather Lite vs UAV Forecast

The clearest difference is rating: UAV Forecast at 4.6 against AeroWeather Lite's 3.5. UAV Forecast also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). AeroWeather Lite's advantage is review sentiment (54% vs 33%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AeroWeather Lite sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and UAV Forecast sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UAV Forecast holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UAV Forecast has 3.5K ratings behind it against 160, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of AeroWeather Lite's written reviews are positive against 33% of UAV Forecast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AeroWeather Lite ships an update monthly, UAV Forecast every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
