# SugarSync vs Currys Cloud Backup

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SugarSync at 81% against Currys Cloud Backup's 26%. SugarSync also leads on ratings volume (109 vs 6) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). Currys Cloud Backup's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.2) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Currys Cloud Backup holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SugarSync has 109 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of SugarSync's written reviews are positive against 26% of Currys Cloud Backup's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SugarSync ships an update every 5 months, Currys Cloud Backup every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
