# NOS Teletekst vs NU.nl

The clearest difference is ads: NOS Teletekst at none against NU.nl's shown. NOS Teletekst also leads on review sentiment (52% vs 34%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). NU.nl's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (55 vs 11). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NU.nl holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NU.nl has 55 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of NOS Teletekst's written reviews are positive against 34% of NU.nl's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NOS Teletekst ships an update every 2 months, NU.nl every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
