# MiniPiano vs Virtual Piano +

MiniPiano and Virtual Piano + both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 68% of MiniPiano's written reviews are positive against 36% of Virtual Piano +'s. MiniPiano also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). Virtual Piano +'s advantage is ratings volume (631 vs 10). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Virtual Piano + holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virtual Piano + has 631 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of MiniPiano's written reviews are positive against 36% of Virtual Piano +'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MiniPiano ships an update every 2 months, Virtual Piano + every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
