# Simplenote vs Voxcroft

The clearest difference is monetization model: Simplenote at free against Voxcroft's freemium. Simplenote also leads on ratings volume (4.3K vs 1). Voxcroft's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simplenote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Voxcroft sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Voxcroft holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simplenote has 4.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Simplenote's written reviews are positive against 100% of Voxcroft's.
