# Paint vs Simply Paint

Paint and Simply Paint both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Simply Paint's written reviews are positive against 24% of Paint's. Simply Paint also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). Paint's advantage is update cadence (every 7 months vs every 92 months). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paint sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Simply Paint asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Paint against 5.0 for Simply Paint. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simply Paint has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
