# GL Golf vs Rocket Golf

The clearest difference is rating: GL Golf at 4.0 against Rocket Golf's 2.7. GL Golf also leads on ratings volume (105 vs 3) and chart position (#34 vs unranked). Rocket Golf's advantage is review sentiment (87% vs 63%) and price ($2.99 vs $4.99). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

GL Golf costs $4.99 and Rocket Golf $2.99 up front. GL Golf sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Rocket Golf sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GL Golf holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GL Golf has 105 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of GL Golf's written reviews are positive against 87% of Rocket Golf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GL Golf ships an update every 3 months, Rocket Golf every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
