# AroundMe vs Trulia Rentals

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Trulia Rentals at none against AroundMe's 4. Trulia Rentals also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). AroundMe's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 47%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AroundMe sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 6 months. Trulia Rentals asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trulia Rentals holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trulia Rentals has 308K ratings behind it against 24K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of AroundMe's written reviews are positive against 47% of Trulia Rentals's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AroundMe ships an update every 6 weeks, Trulia Rentals every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
