# XpenseTracker vs MEL PRO

The clearest difference is price: XpenseTracker at $4.99 against MEL PRO's $24.99. XpenseTracker also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). MEL PRO's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). On review sentiment, ads, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.

XpenseTracker costs $4.99 and MEL PRO $24.99 up front. XpenseTracker sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. MEL PRO asks for nothing beyond the download.

XpenseTracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XpenseTracker has 4.9K ratings behind it against 342, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of XpenseTracker's written reviews are positive against 77% of MEL PRO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

XpenseTracker ships an update monthly, MEL PRO every 4 months. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
