# iBlueSky (mindmapping) vs YouMind

The clearest difference is rating: YouMind at 4.5 against iBlueSky (mindmapping)'s 2.6. YouMind also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (111 vs 5). iBlueSky (mindmapping)'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (70% vs 48%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YouMind sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. iBlueSky (mindmapping) asks for nothing beyond the download.

YouMind holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YouMind has 111 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of iBlueSky (mindmapping)'s written reviews are positive against 48% of YouMind's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iBlueSky (mindmapping) ships an update every 3 months, YouMind every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
