# GL Golf Lite vs Rocket Golf

The clearest difference is price: GL Golf Lite at Free against Rocket Golf's $2.99. GL Golf Lite also leads on rating (3.9 vs 2.7) and ratings volume (85 vs 3). Rocket Golf's advantage is review sentiment (87% vs 61%) and chart position (#199 vs unranked). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

GL Golf Lite is free to download; Rocket Golf costs $2.99 up front. GL Golf Lite sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Rocket Golf sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GL Golf Lite holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GL Golf Lite has 85 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of GL Golf Lite's written reviews are positive against 87% of Rocket Golf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GL Golf Lite ships an update every 3 months, Rocket Golf every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
