# iStellar vs MushroomLog

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MushroomLog at 100% against iStellar's 49%. MushroomLog also leads on price (Free vs $3.99). iStellar's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.0). On ratings volume, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

MushroomLog is free to download; iStellar costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iStellar holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of iStellar's written reviews are positive against 100% of MushroomLog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
