# The IQ Test vs BrainFox

The clearest difference is ads: The IQ Test at none against BrainFox's shown. The IQ Test also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (126 vs 40). BrainFox's advantage is review sentiment (53% vs 32%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The IQ Test sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and BrainFox sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The IQ Test holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 126 and 40 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of The IQ Test's written reviews are positive against 53% of BrainFox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The IQ Test ships an update weekly, BrainFox every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
