# Hexterity vs Star Link

The clearest difference is ads: Hexterity at none against Star Link's shown. Hexterity also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Star Link's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 21 months) and ratings volume (112 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hexterity sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Star Link sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hexterity holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Star Link has 112 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of Hexterity's written reviews are positive against 73% of Star Link's.

Hexterity ships an update every 21 months, Star Link monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
